Kondisi mobil bernilai sepekan gaji Ronaldo saat di Manchester United tersebut rusak parah. Roda depannya copot dan bagian mesin penyok parah. Butuh ribuan poundsterling untuk memperbaikinya. Celakanya, dengan alasan tertentu pihak ansuransi tidak bersedia menanggung perbaikan mobil mewah tersebut.
Ronaldo pun memutuskan untuk menjualnya kepada pembeli asal Prancis, Renaud Bettcher. Mobil berwana merah menyala dengan mesin 6.0-liter V12 itu dilego dengan harga £33 ribu atau setara dengan Rp477 juta.
Seperti dilansir Metro.co.uk, mobil tersebut kini kembali muncul di situs lelang online, eBay. Bettcher kini berharap mampu menjualnya kembali hingga dua kali harga baru mobil dengan jenis yang sama.
Bettcher nyaris mencapai targetnya saat pertama kali menayangkan rongsokan tersebut di situs eBay. Sayang, angka penawaran yang sudah mencapai £110 ribu terhenti setelah pengelola eBay memutuskan untuk menghapus iklan itu dengan alasan persoalan kelayakan barang.
Belakangan, pengelola eBay meminta maaf atas keputusan tersebut dan bersedia merilisnya kembali. Bettcher juga mendapat ganti rugi £20 ribu atas insiden pencekalan iklan itu.
Keputusan ini kembali membuka peluang bagi para penggemar CR7 untuk mendapatkan rongsokan tersebut. Namun, perlu diingat, siapapun pembelinya kemungkinan bisa mendapatkan mobil Ferrari 599 GTB baru dengan harga yang lebih lebih murah.
